This Policies & Disclaimers page applies to Praetoria Fencing & Decking, a division of Praetoria Group operating in Regina, Saskatchewan ("Praetoria", "we", "us", "our"), and to our website at fencinganddecking.praetoriagroup.ca (the "Site").

By using our Site, requesting a quote, applying to a job posting, submitting a partner application, or engaging us for any service, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these policies, our Terms of Service, and applicable Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and Saskatchewan consumer protection law.

We collect only what we need to serve you well:

• Contact details — name, email, phone, address and city, provided through quote, contact, careers, partner or chat forms.
• Project information — fence/deck type, dimensions, photos of your yard, preferred materials, budget range and timeline.
• Application materials — for careers and partner applications: resumes, references, certifications, insurance and WCB documentation, and any files you upload.
• Communications — emails, chat transcripts, voicemails and SMS exchanges with our team.
• Site usage data — IP address, browser type, pages visited and referral source, collected automatically for analytics and security.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

• Prepare and deliver your written quote.
• Schedule site visits, installations, repairs and warranty follow-ups.
• Process payments, deposits and invoices through our payment providers.
• Review job and partner applications and contact qualified candidates.
• Respond to inquiries through our website chat, email and phone channels.
• Send transactional updates about your project, and occasional service updates if you've opted in.
• Improve our website, services and customer experience through aggregated analytics.
• Comply with legal obligations (tax records, WCB reporting, warranty claims).

We never sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only when necessary, and only with parties who are bound by confidentiality obligations:

• Service providers we use to run our business — hosting (Lovable Cloud / Supabase), email delivery (Resend), payment processing, scheduling tools and document storage.
• Trusted subcontractors assigned to your project, limited to the contact and project details they need to do the work.
• Sask 1st Call for utility locates before digging.
• Legal authorities when required by court order, subpoena or applicable law.
• A successor business in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets — under the same privacy commitments.

Our Site uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep forms working, and understand how visitors use the Site. We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to measure traffic and improve content.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the Site function (for example, the chat widget or form submissions).

We use reasonable administrative, physical and technical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls on our database and storage, and signed/expiring URLs for uploaded files.

No system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we will notify affected individuals and the appropriate authorities promptly if a material breach occurs.

We retain quote and project records for a minimum of 7 years for tax, warranty and dispute purposes. Job applications are retained for up to 12 months unless you request earlier deletion. Marketing contacts are retained until you opt out.

Under PIPEDA and similar laws, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you.
• Request a copy of that information.
• Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
• Request deletion of information we no longer have a legal or contractual reason to keep.

Send requests to fencinganddecking@praetoriagroup.ca. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Saskatchewan weather is unpredictable. For the safety of our crew and the quality of your build, we may pause or reschedule work during heavy rain, high winds, lightning, extreme cold, blizzards or frozen/saturated ground.

We make every effort to give you advance notice and a new target window as soon as the forecast allows. Weather delays are not a breach of our agreement and do not entitle either party to a price adjustment.

Our installation workmanship is warranted for two (2) years from substantial completion. Materials carry the manufacturer's warranty, which we will help you claim.

Warranty does not cover normal weathering of natural wood (checking, cupping, knots, colour change), damage from storms, hail, frost heave, vandalism, vehicle impact, third-party work performed after our installation, or failure to perform owner maintenance. We may photograph completed projects for our portfolio, website, social media and printed marketing materials. Photos focus on the workmanship and do not include identifying information about you (your name, address or family).

If you prefer that we not photograph your project, please tell us in writing before installation begins and we will respect that request.

Information on this Site — including pricing examples, timelines, materials guidance and design tips — is provided for general information only. It is not a binding offer or professional engineering advice. Final pricing, scope and timelines are confirmed only in your written quote.

Photographs, renderings and material samples shown on the Site are representative. Actual installations may vary based on site conditions, material batches and natural variation in wood and composite products.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on Site content alone.

Our Site may link to third-party websites (manufacturers, suppliers, social platforms or partners). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or security of those external sites. Review their policies before providing any personal information.

We may update these policies from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services or the law. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page and, where appropriate, communicated by email.
